1. The next CMA Intergroup meeting will be Friday, July 13th at 8PM at the Center on Halsted.

1. Join CMA friends on June 19th to watch Kinky Boots at Millennium Park.  The film starts at 6:30, but we will meet at the Millennium Monument on the southeast corner of Randolph and Michigan at 5:30 to find a good spot.  If you can’t find us, call or text 773-340-1847.

1. Come watch the Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday June 24th from 11 to 3 at the corner of Broadway and Gordon Terrace. Restrooms will be available at Matt B’s condo. BYO refreshments and celebrate pride with sober friends!

1. Are you ready? Lip Sync Battle is coming around again – this time as a fundraiser for The Chicago Roundup. Come cheer on contestants as they slay the stage with the fiercest lip syncs! July 7th @ 8pm @ The Rec Room. $10 admission fee. Early Bird registration for The Roundup will be available at a discounted price.

1. The Rec Room will be hosting a multi-fellowship conversation on inclusivity on June 9th at 3pm. The format will be a Town Hall, so come and share your experiences and ideas about how to make meetings safer and more welcoming for all.

A new CMA Meeting based on the 9th Step Promises has started on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm at The New Hope Recovery Center (2835 N Sheffield).

The CMA activities committee will be showing the movie “Coco” in honor of Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 5th at the Rec Room, 4138 N Sheridan Road. Doors open at 3:00 and the movie starts at 3:30.  Light refreshments will be served.

• The next CMA Intergroup meeting will be Friday, January 12th at 8PM at the Center on Halsted.
• Intergroup is seeking a new chairperson for Hospitals and Institutions. If you’re interested, please see Matt B or your GSR.
• CMA World is seeking volunteers to work the 855-METH-FREE 24-hour helpline. Answer calls anonymously from your own phone at regular weekly times that work with your schedule. See Michael K or your GSR if you’re interested.
• CMA World is collecting audio taped leads. If you’d like to submit yours, see Ross M or your GSR for details.

November 19, 2017 CMA Announcements

1. The next CMA Intergroup meeting will be Friday, December 8th at 8PM at the Center on Halsted.
2. CMA will host a classic movie night with a screening of “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane”, starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Saturday, November 18th @ 8pm at the Rec Room. Bring snacks to share if you can. See CMA Activity Chairs Keith B. or Marc P for details.
3. Come to Thanksgiving at the Rec Room! Dinner at 2PM will be followed by a gratitude meeting. Bring a side dish if you can, and join us for a wonderful evening of food, fun, and fellowship.

2. The Time Has Come To Lip Sync for the Crown. Miss Serenity will be held Saturday, July 29 at The Mayne Stage located at 1328 W Morse (directly off the Morse Redline Stop). VIP Tickets can be purchased from a contestant or Joey K. or Keith B. VIP Tickets are $40 and guarantees Main Floor seating.  Regular Admission Tickets can be purchased online for $25. Because the competition is back at The Mayne Stage, tickets will go quickly – especially the good seats. Contestants must have 1 year of continuous sobriety. For tickets and more information on being a contestant or a volunteer, please see Joey K. or Keith B. AND MAY THE BEST WOMAN WIN.

• Welcome to the jungle…or, at least your local zoo across from the park. The fellowship will be taking our Summer field trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday, July 15th. We will gather at the Stockton Drive & Webster entrance at 2pm and explore from there. There will be lions, tigers, bears and maybe even a couple of otters, so come out and be a part of the fun!
