CMA Global Survey Launched, First Time in Ten Years

The Crystal Meth Anonymous General Services Organization, which is based in Los Angeles, is in the final months of conducting a survey of the membership and attendees at CMA meetings to gain information that will help it expand CMA’s message of hope and inspiration to both addicts who are suffering from active addiction and addicts who are in recovery.

CMA licensed SurveyMonkey for the project, and has received more than 2,000 responses to date. The survey will be completed in May 2024 and results analyzed. CMA last surveyed members a decade ago. It is spreading word of the survey through crystalmeth.org and CMA groups around the world.

CMA was founded In 1994, by Bill C., a recovering crystal meth addict 16 years sober in A.A. Bill recalled that many of the secretaries of existing 12-step meetings did not like the shares of the crystal meth addicts and were therefore reluctant to call on them. Bill maintained that there ought to be a place for these people to share. Attended by 13 people, the first meeting of Crystal Meth Anonymous was held September 16th, 1994, @ 9:45 pm at the West Hollywood Alcohol and Drug Center in West Hollywood, CA.
